Summary of the Corporate Sustainable Procurement Policy
Scope
The Procurement Policy relates to all procurement activities undertaken by Link Group and its subsidiaries.
Principles
We will obtain value for money, on a cost-measured quantitative basis, while providing qualitative benefits through added value to the organisation, its customers, stakeholders and the communities in which it operates. This aim will be delivered in a way which minimises damage to the environment.
Practice
These policy’s five key objectives are to ensure that:
- Good procurement practice is applied consistently across the organisation
- Curent and future procurement activities are planned, monitored and reviewed effectively by means of a Strategic Procurement Plan
- Sustainability principles are embodied within all procurement activities
- Tendering and Contract Awards for Strategic Procurement are in accordance with the Group’s Standing Orders, legislative requirements and best practice
- We have the correct financial planning and operational tools to deliver the strategy
Resources
We will implement the policy by:
- Devising procedures for compliance with the policy
- Training staff to ensure they are aware of their responsibilities and obligations
- Monitoring adherence to policy requirements
